FAQ
How do I get a gown?
Visit HERE to sign up to book a time to shop!
What sizes do you have?
Size 00 to size 28.
Do you only provide Prom gowns?
We have all styles of formal and semi formal gowns. Though most are prom type gowns we also will have gowns suitable for quinceneara, homecoming, wedding guest apparel, and more!
Do I have to provide proof that I "need" a gown?
Our goal is that EVERY teen gets a gown, no questions asked. You show up, choose a free gown, and go. No forms to fill out. No proof of need. No questions asked.
That easy? Seems to good to be true.
It's truly that easy! We have gathered hundreds of gowns that we are eager to donate to teens and ensure they have the same luxury experience on their special day as any one else. Tell your friends. Spread the word!
If I donate, will I get my gown back if it isn’t chosen?
No, but we will make sure your beautiful gown finds a good home at Beautiful Lives Boutique, dress for success, or Everhope (formerly Children’s Safety Center)
Do you take shoes, accessories, or suits/tuxedos?
Not at this time.
Will photos be taken of me or will my friends know that I was at the event?
We are very conscious that some teens will not want their photos taken, for various reasons. All teens will receive a bracelet, the color of which determine if you are open to photos. NO NAMES WILL EVER BE RELEASED OF THOSE THAT SIGN UP TO GET A GOWN.
Can I bring family with me?
We ask that the teens bring ONE parent or guardian with them. For space purposes, we ask that you limit to one parent, and if you arrive with two we will ask that one parents or guardian waits outside. We also understand that younger siblings may need to come along, as well.
What gowns are you accepting for donation?
Any non-wedding dress, formal or semi-formal in any size, in like-new or new condition.
Can I get a tax receipt for donation?
At this time, this is a very small non-profit that is run exclusively by single moms. We do not have the resources for tax write offs, unfortunately.
Can I donate financially?
We are a zero-finances non-profit. From racks to gowns to location, everything we do is based on in-kind donations from community members. If you would like to donate financially, our founder Queenie Be asks that you send donations to area non-profit Hub of Hope.
But are the gowns CUTE??
We will receive many gowns that do not fit the vision for teenage tastes, we will donate these gowns to local non-profits. Our goal is that the gowns are modern, luxury, and gorgeous for our teens in need. Many still have tags in place and are valued at as much as $800!
Can I volunteer to help?
Yes! Please visit HERE to volunteer.
I'm not a teen going to prom, but I am in need of a gown. Can I pick one?
At Gownsational, our goal is to bless area residents in need of a gown. Our arms are wide open to accept those in need of a formal or semi-formal gown. We do ask that those out of the teen years please sign up for our later time slots, however, as teens are the priority.
I don't live in NWA, can I still get a gown?
Our goal is to bless any and all teens in need of a gown. If you are outside the area and would like to attend for a gown, we welcome you joyfully!
